She’s going to be a toddler soon

I first observed Natalie pulling herself up to standing maybe a week or so ago..but it was only recently that I’ve been able to capture it on camera/video as she does it a lot more now.  She gets every chance she can get while playing in her little play zone area to crawl up to her push’n’ride car and pull herself up to standing.  It’s a little freaky for us because we don’t know if she’ll suddenly fall backwards stiff as a board, bopping her head.  So far, no issues. …and we’re off!

I’ve failed to mention one of Natalie’s newest milestones: CRAWLING!  For awhile now, she’s been rocking on all fours and getting increasingly frustrated with being unable to move.  It’s like someone glued her hands and her feet to the ground….but shortly before I went on the girls ski trip, she finally started to get the coordination of hand and feet and took a few steps.  While I was away, she finally made herself across all of daddy’s office.  Now, she loves crawling and can easily move from one place to another.  She isn’t quite yet “speed crawling” to the point where she’s off before we realize it, but we definitely…

    Girls Ski Weekend

I had an AWESOME time with a group of 10 women for a ski trip over the weekend. We stayed in a huge cabin near Leavenworth which was  wonderful wintery wonderland.  On Saturday, we headed to Mission Ridge which I’d never been to.  What a great mountain: no lines, wide open runs and we were lucky in that it started snowing when we arrived…so we got soft spots of powder here and there.  I surprised myself and felt great snowboarding even though it’d been awhile!  What a great day of riding. In the evening, we went into the Bavarian town of Leavenworth and ate dinner at Andreas Keller.  Yum—giant pretzels,…
